THE OLD CRAFTS WORKSHOPS of The Fine Crafts Association of Vilnius:
Live crafts workshops
Craft workshop-exposition (“live museum”) is interesting even without the working craftsmen: tools and wares are exhibited so that you can see the work process. History of Vilnius city craftsmanship is presented in the workshop dating back to the times of Grand Duke Gediminas, who invited craftsmen from all over Europe. It is a great place to feel the history of old Vilnius and take part of it with you. Baltic, ethnographic and contemporary crafts are represented here as well.
Educational classes and training
We offer a wide range of educational craft activities for children, youth and adults as well as professional crafts training for adults.
Craft tours
We organize cognitive and educational craft tours for school groups, tourists and city visitors. Tours can be combined with chosen practical educational classes.
Invited sessions and lectures
We give lectures about ancient craftsmanship, its history, its modern development and promotion, vocational guidance, promotion of entrepreneurship, study of ancient crafts and activities.
Implementation of your ideas
We accept private orders by creating special souvenirs or realizing your ideas.
Important to know
Two members of the Fine Crafts Association of Vilnius - Craftsmen Club "Dvaro meistrai" (Masters of the Manor) (concept author of the Old Crafts Workshop) and textile manufacturer Gražina Kriaunevičienė work at the Old Crafts Workshop.
The first Wednesday of every month is the open door day for every lover of our history and old crafts! Craft presentations and demonstrations are organized for free on the open door day. Follow the news :)
