ABOUT...
I became interested in one of the oldest not woven textile fabric - felt - in 2009. The principles of wool felting remains basically the same as in the past: moistened wool effected by the warmth is rubbed, stroked, and rolled. But felt usage is more modern with new felting techniques (such as nunofelt and others) and tools.
My brand Feltinis seeks to promote and popularize felting craft and to produce and represent only quality and handmade items. Usually I felt footwear for kids and adults from sheep wool. Also, I have tried my capabilities by felting hats, gloves, shawls, jewelry, toys, handbags, paintings, carpets, interior details. I have represented my works in various events happening in Vilnius city (Sostinės dienos, Tautų mugė, St. Bartholomew's Fair, St. Casimir Fair)
I learned and gathered all my knowledge about this craft during various seminars held by famous felt masters such as Diana Nagornaja, Svetlana Vronskaja, Jaroslava Troynich. I learned to various shapes while working with wool, experiment with wool and use other fibers such as silk, linen, bamboo, viscose, wool curl, etc.
